Frequently Asked Questions
Is 608 Study Buddy affiliated with the EPA?
No. 608 Study Buddy is an independent study practice tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the EPA.
Is this the real EPA 608 exam?
No. The app is for practice and review. Practice scores can help you find weak areas, but they do not guarantee a passing score on a certification exam.
What should I study first?
Start with Core because it applies across all certification types. After Core, study the type section that matches your goal: Type I for small appliances, Type II for high-pressure appliances, Type III for low-pressure appliances, or Universal for all sections.
What is Universal practice?
Universal practice combines Core, Type I, Type II, and Type III questions. Use it after you have reviewed each section separately and want a broader exam-style session.
Does the app save my progress?
The app stores lifetime stats, missed questions, and settings in your browser using localStorage. It does not require an account. Clearing browser data may remove that saved progress.
Can I use it on mobile?
Yes. The app is designed to work on phones, tablets, and desktop browsers. Quick Drill is useful for shorter mobile study sessions.
How should I use missed-question review?
Missed-question review is best after a practice exam or drill. Repeat missed questions, read the explanation when available, and then clear the list once those topics feel stable.
Who can I contact about corrections?
Contact Spacehunterz through the Contact page if you notice a question, explanation, or page that should be reviewed.
